WATERFALL MODEL

In Waterfall Model, there are 7 sequential steps to achieve successful development cycle, in detail we discuss below

In Waterfall Model, the Development of Software is carried out in a sequential manner. Now a days, every company is having a Business Analyst, but so many peoples don't know what they are doing in company. Now I am explaining the job of Business Analyst,He/she is probably any company needs an experienced person, why because, this guy is the starting key source person to gather all kinds of information from the company clients. The Business Analyst is also called a "DOMAIN EXPERT", why the Bussiness Analyst is the Domain Expert means, probably he is experienced guy from different domains, he/she will know everything about from source to destination onlyinformation.

A best example from Testing Campus Bussiness Analyst-He/she gathers the requirements from the customers in business language and then the gathered information will be translates that into a language, what the software developer can understand

Usually IT companies can be divided into two types (1) Service based company, (2) Product based company

@- In service based companies, the company develop the softwares for someonelse. One who gathers the requirements in service company is Bussiness Analyst.

In Product based companies, they develop the softwares for themselves. In Product based companies, the job of the Product Analyst is to gathers the requirement by doing MRA (Market Research Activity)

Designing Phase- The main purpose of designing is to helps the developer to understand the requirements in an easy way. If designing is done properly means then the developer gets an clear idea about the project. Usually we have two types of designs to be used in the softwares development process they are-

(1) HLD- HIGH LEVEL DESIGN The HLD consists of Block diagram representation of project flow.

(2) LLD- LOW LEVEL DESIGN The LLD consists of algorithms and sudoku.

MAINTENANCE -In this phase, suppose you take example of any it company, in that company, this will managed from junior developers not from seniors, why because it will not required that more high levels of experience to maintain the existing software.

Actually in this phase we do the following #- Upgrading the software #- Adding and removing features from the existing software #- Fixing the defects that is encountered from the customer we discussing some more information about maintenance Phase, because now a days the companies are keep upgrading his services, products, customers etc, in that scenario, what happens that Maintenance Phase is very important one to keep changes the softwares.

DISADVANTAGES OF WATERFALL MODEL- #- In Waterfall Model Testing does not start at early stage because of there is a easy downward flow of defects. #-In Waterfall Model, the requirements cannot be handled easily, hence it is also called as "LESS CUSTOMER FRIENDLY MODEL".

ADVANTAGES OF WATERFALL MODEL- In Waterfall Model, the main advantage is "It is very simple and easy to implement.
